Friends, nothing today feels easy. In fact, many of us, most of us, have never experienced times quite like these. I can’t pretend to have answers when all I have are questions. I can’t offer solace when I’m overwhelmed with pain. I can’t arrogantly amplify my voice...

On Thursday, June 20, at 7:00 pm, please join Kim Hogan in the Parlor for a discussion of His Truth is Marching On: John Lewis and the Power of Hope. Civil rights icon and U.S congressman John Lewis, who at age twenty-five marched in Selma, Alabama, and was beaten on the Edmund Pettus Bridge, was a visionary and a man of faith. Drawing on decades of wide- ranging interviews with Lewis, Jon Meacham writes of how this great-grandson of a slave and son of an Alabama tenant farmer was inspired by the Bible and his teachers in nonviolence.
