Beginning in March First Pres will begin the process to co-sponsor a refugee family. After careful consideration, the Mission Committee has made the decision to enter a partnership with RefugeeOne. RefugeeOne is the largest resettlement agency in Chicago, in partnership with many churches and other organizations and has welcomed thousands of refugees to the Chicago area since 1982.
You might be wondering what it means for First Pres to sponsor a refugee family. The Mission Committee wants to tell you all about our exciting plans for 2022 at an informational meeting on Sunday, March 13, at 11:45 am in the Sanctuary. We will provide information on how to get involved and you will have the opportunity to let us know how you want to be involved.
