Spring Musical for K-5th Graders
Presenting “For Goodness Sake” with words and music by Cynthia Wright. This sweet, fun children’s musical retells the familiar lessons of the Ten Commandments through music and drama. The show is set on a typical Sunday morning with a family rushing to get to church. During their car trip to church, they listen to a radio program interpreting each commandment as a song performed by choir.
Registration is currently open for our kindergarten-5th grade children to present the musical during worship on Sunday, May 5th. Spring musical rehearsals will coincide with Family Night on Wednesday nights, beginning on April 3rd. Families are invited to enjoy Family Night dinner in Fellowship Hall from 6:00-7:00pm, followed by musical rehearsal from 7:00-8:00pm.
Children can opt into the for cast singing and acting roles or the crew for set design and art projects. Spring musical programming will take the place of Kids Connect during these five weeks, 4/3 through 5/1. Participation in at least four Wednesday evenings is encouraged so children can learn their music and parts.
