A Glad Obedience: What and Why We Sing
with Rev. Ken Hockenberry

Author Walter Brueggemann believes that though most church folks sing old hymns with gusto, and new hymns with a sense of “can we please get this over with,” we usually do not pay much attention to the words we are singing. Many hymns in our hymnals contain incredible poetic jewels of theology and faith, which can fuel our journeys of faith, if only we focused more on what we are singing. Our class will focus on several hymns, old and new, which we will sing and then discuss. Come, sing, and find some fuel for your journey of faith. The book, A Glad Obedience, What and Why We Sing, is available on Amazon.
